Now that we are past the mid-semester point, all of you are experienced DEARTS bloggers. Rather than my listing key components of classes with Jordan Hamilton, and posing questions, please think back in a focused way on your experience in class Wednesday. I will say only that I think Jordan is an extraordinary emerging artist. He is also a rare kind of young artist, in that he has the capacity to share intellectual, very thoughtful ideas about his artistry, and the ideas behind his creative work. Beyond that, he was able to articulate a lot of information about the many artists and movements in musical history that influence him. It was very helpful that we were able to take the time to as a class, look at, and listen to some of these influential artists.
Based on the general thoughts I've shared above, please think up a question, in ways similar to others you've seen from me, or from Instructor Sparks in past weeks. Type out your question, and then answer your own question in very specific terms. If when you come to this post, there are already many questions evident from other students, you may choose to borrow one of their questions instead. If you do, you still have to type out the question. To do so, and get full credit, put their question in quotes, and list their name and section.
Please follow previous protocol including word counts, spelling and all blog post criteria. This post opened on Tuesday at 4 pm. It will be open until Saturday at 10 pm.
